Jim Carrey to issue his first NFT

Jim Carrey, the talented film star and artist, is preparing to unveil his first ever NFT. NFT He has chosen to introduce his initial non-fungible token on SuperRare, marking a significant moment in his artistic journey. 

This NFT, titled 'SunShower,' is one of many pieces resulting from Jim's passion for painting. The artwork was created using a unique method where acrylic paint is poured directly from tubes onto the canvas, allowing for vibrant colors to be scraped and leave distinct impressions. 

Prior to launching the NFT, Jim decided to animate his painting. He collaborated with filmmaker David Bushell to bring it to life digitally, complemented by Jim Carrey’s philosophical commentary.

The actor expressed, 'Experiencing a sunshower feels like receiving a divine present, a form of healing with extraordinary restorative powers. It's challenging to remain cynical when the world around you is shimmering like jewels.'

Jim Carrey isn’t a newcomer to the NFT scene. With whispers of his potential retirement from films, he has been immersing himself more in the arts and exploring new creative avenues. On June 1, he even acquired an NFT designed by Ryan Koopsman and Alice Wexell, which marked the beginning of his collection.  purchased The auction for 'SunShower' kicks off today, June 9, at 12 PM PT, and it’s exclusively available on SuperRare. The bidding starts at the modest price of $1. All profits from this initial sale will be donated to a charity aimed at alleviating hunger among children in need. 

SuperRare has launched a pop-up exhibit in Soho featuring an inaugural group showcase. Feeding America The platform will also host a physical art gallery for its audience.
