A unique invisibility coat has been created to ensure the wearer remains distinguishable to surveillance systems.
In the past few years, we've seen a notable rise in AI-enhanced surveillance technology capable of identifying people and objects. A groundbreaking invention has emerged to counteract this trend. InvisDefense This innovation is designed specifically to help individuals evade detection from surveillance cameras.

Created by students from Wuhan University, InvisDefense is an AI-powered invisibility coat intended to obscure the wearer from sight of surveillance cameras. Each coat is priced at approximately $71.
While this invention allows cameras to capture images of a person, the AI technology does not recognize that a human is present in the shot.

The InvisDefense coat utilizes a specialized algorithm printed on its fabric that confounds daytime visible light cameras. Additionally, it incorporates thermal sensors that emit unusual heat signatures at night, thereby tricking infrared detection systems.
- Researchers from China envision that the InvisDefense garment could serve as a tactical uniform for soldiers, effectively keeping them hidden from drones and other surveillance tools on the battlefield. However, it's worth noting that some autonomous vehicle detection systems might be misled by this type of clothing.
