Injective Introduces inEVM for Enhanced Cross-Chain Functionality Across Cosmos and Solana
In Brief
With the introduction of the inEVM, Injective aims to facilitate cross-chain functionality between the ecosystems of Cosmos and Solana, benefiting developers and users alike.
The inEVM framework was created alongside Caldera, a Layer 2 rollup infrastructure solution backed by Sequoia Capital.
Through inEVM, Ethereum developers will gain the ability to leverage Injective's vast global network and its user community.

Injective Injective, a Layer-1 blockchain focused on financial services and Web3 capabilities, has unveiled inEVM, a dedicated Ethereum Virtual Machine aimed at enhancing cross-chain operability for both Cosmos and Solana.
The development of inEVM was a collaborative effort with Caldera, a platform that provides Layer 2 rollup solutions and is supported by Sequoia.
Injective proudly claims that Ethereum developers can access its robust global network and diverse user base through the inEVM platform. This blockchain is designed to facilitate quick transaction processing through a parallelized design, offer instant transaction finality, and support comprehensive tools, shared liquidity, and composability across the Cosmos IBC and Solana networks.
This news comes on the heels of Injective's recent introduction launch of inSVM (previously Cascade), a rollup solution for the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) that is integrated into the broader Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) framework. The introduction of inSVM has allowed developers on Solana to transition their applications to Injective seamlessly, requiring minimal changes to their code.
Injective articulates that decentralized applications (dApps) operating on inEVM will interoperate with those on Cosmos and Solana, furnishing developers using inEVM the capacity to achieve compatibility among various virtual machines, whether they belong to their ecosystem or beyond.
"With inEVM, Ethereum developers can effortlessly deploy their applications across Injective's rollups while connecting with a vast network of users and liquidity,\" remarked Eric Chen, co-founder and CEO of Injective Labs.
Looking ahead, Injective envisions the decentralization of its sequencers and validators through innovative solutions like Altlayer and Espresso Systems .
recently, Injective announced its partnership with Espresso Systems to build decentralized rollup sequencers. The first accomplishment of this collaboration was launching a testnet for inSVM, with mainnet deployment anticipated to kick off in early 2024 following a successful testing phase.
