Improbable gives enthusiasts a sneak peek into the Otherside adventure.

Followers of the project got a taste of the Otherside experience through a Twitter reveal from Improbable.

Amid a whirlwind of scandals and ongoing excitement, Bored Apes Yacht Club parent company Yuga Labs alongside a British tech innovator in the Metaverse space, Improbable they finally aim to deliver a remarkable return for the \"Voyagers,\" the holders of Otherdeed NFTs, which represent plots within their upcoming Metaverse creation, Otherside. Just last night, Otherside debuted on Twitter the First Trip offered its inaugural tech demonstration, marking the first mission that holders of Otherdeed could engage with.

"Similar to how the processing capability of your computer can restrict a game's graphics quality, the size of metaverses depends on the number of communication operations, or 'ops,' they can execute each second,\" their site explains \"Common online gaming environments manage roughly 10,000 operations per second. In contrast, Otherside is set to process over half a billion operations per second, which will unlock new gameplay opportunities and unprecedented interactions on a grand scale.\"

The unprecedented computing capacity they have harnessed exceeds all prior beliefs regarding Metaverse processing potential. Being the frontrunner in this field grants significant cultural influence and capital.

It all culminates in a \"gamified, interoperable Metaverse\" that combines elements from massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) with web3-based virtual universes. The vision of Otherside is to create a metaRPG where players hold ownership of the world, their NFTs can evolve into playable characters, and numerous participants can engage in real-time.

In mid-April, Yuga Labs dropped a teaser The project has captivated attention through a compelling advertisement that excels across various metrics, featuring top-notch animation and a rock n' roll vibe from the highlighted ape's cigar (or possibly a blunt) alongside The Doors' classic \"Break On Through (To The Other Side)\" serving as the soundtrack. It truly resonated with the audience, sending waves across the internet. By the end of April, Yuga Labs announced that Otherdeeds would be minted using ApeCoin, their proprietary currency, which understandably triggered a surge surge in market prices as April 30th approached—the highly anticipated date for the release of 55,000 limited Otherdeeds. A Know Your Customer (KYC) verification was also necessary, sparking dissatisfaction among some supporters.

Within just 24 hours of launching, Otherdeed skyrocketed to the Top 10 on OpenSea, priced at $7,000 each and raising a remarkable $285 million according to . However, the project faced a significant PR hurdle, causing a massive CoinDesk \"This has marked the largest NFT minting event in history by several measures, yet the gas used during the process revealed an astonishing demand that far exceeded our most optimistic projections,\" the company acknowledged on Twitter. \"We sincerely apologize for the temporary disruption on the Ethereum network.\" They have since hinted that ApeCoin may require its own dedicated blockchain. $154M in gas fees during the big land minting.

Regardless of the challenges, the journey is set to continue, and the drama intensified last night. The Otherside's

section elaborates that The First Trip serves as a tech demo exclusively for Voyagers—a celebration of future endeavors, allowing them to gather, explore, and strategize. The Voyager’s Journey will unfold in a total of 11 chapters, culminating in The Rift: \"Define your starting attributes and abilities. Your task on the Obelisk is complete, but there remains much more to accomplish.\" This narrative addresses both storytelling and practical aspects, including the unveiling of a Software Development Kit (SDK). Obelisk Yuga Labs has taken the initiative to reimburse gas fees for unsuccessful Otherdeed NFT transactions.
