The immersive virtual lounge provides visitors with exclusive experiences that extend beyond tennis, including engaging quests and games, opportunities to earn unique wearables, and a chance to win an exciting trip to the Men’s Finals of the US Open in 2023. NFT \"We're making our debut in the metaverse with this initiative. We've discussed for ages how Grey Goose should be represented here, as it’s a vital connection for our fans,\" says Aleco Azqueta, Grey Goose's North American marketing VP.

To enter the raffle for tickets to the 2023 Finals, participants must take part in a challenge called the Honeydew Hunt, along with filling out an entry form. Eligibility requires participants to be at least 21 years old, and they can only submit one entry per day.

Access to the MetaVIP Lounge is open to everyone through their laptops. The experience kicks off with an age verification step, followed by entry into a delightful tennis-themed space where guests are welcomed by Gustav, a friendly goose who serves as their guide. Once welcomed, fans get to partake in a game inspired by the official tournament cocktail, the Grey Goose Honey Deuce. Completing this game allows their avatar access to a bar where they can learn to mix this iconic drink. said

Unlike other sporting events in the metaverse, the MetaVIP Lounge does not stream match broadcasts for attendees to watch.

"Our perspective is that just as companies had to consider a presence on the internet in the ‘90s, or whether they needed a Facebook page about 15 years ago, the metaverse is where our brand's fans will interact in the future. A good number of them are already engaging there now,\" Azqueta reflected on the evolving landscape of the metaverse.

Every year, the US Open is hosted in Flushing Meadows, New York, and is one of the four major tournaments in tennis. This year's event commenced on August 29 and concludes with the Men's Finals on September 11, coinciding with the Decentraland event.
