The cloud region will feature the essential hardware and software to cater to both public and private sectors, primarily established in Bangkok.
According to Deloitte's analysis, this investment could potentially add about $4 billion to Thailand’s GDP by 2029, along with the expectation of creating around 14,000 jobs each year from 2025 through 2029.

In addition to Google, the Royal Thai Government has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft to secure a total investment of $8.46 billion from these tech giants. As part of this collaboration, AWS intends to build a data center with a financial commitment of $5 billion over the next fifteen years.
Earlier this year, Microsoft revealed its plans to open its inaugural regional data center in Thailand, with the goal of enhancing its cloud offerings. This new facility is anticipated to broaden the reach of Microsoft’s hyperscale cloud services, allowing users nationwide to fully access Azure alongside a high-quality AI infrastructure.
Microsoft assured that the new data center in Thailand would deliver enterprise-level reliability, performance, and adhere to local data privacy and residency regulations. Furthermore, the company has pledged to provide AI training for 2.5 million people in Southeast Asia by 2025.
