Google and Meta Unveil China's Global Cybercrime Infrastructure

Recent disclosures by tech giants Google and Meta have highlighted serious allegations regarding China's increasing digital threats. According to Meta’s latest Quarterly Adversarial Threat Report, the platform has suspended 4,789 Facebook accounts that were participating in organized deceptive behavior. These accounts, which initially masqueraded as American users, disseminated uniform content across several platforms, including well-known U.S. media articles and shared posts. In a notable evolution detected by Meta in the middle of 2023, a portion of these accounts modified their profiles to impersonate individuals from India.
