Cloud

What is Cloud?
The term 'cloud' encompasses servers that can be accessed over the Internet, along with the software and databases operating on those platforms. These cloud servers are stored in data centers located around the globe. By utilizing cloud computing, both individuals and businesses can avoid the hassle of managing physical servers and running software on their local devices.
Understanding Cloud
With cloud computing, all processing and storage occur in a centralized data center rather than on a user's own device. As a result, users can access their files and applications from virtually any gadget. For instance, if someone logs into their account on a new phone after the old one breaks, they’ll find all their information—such as pictures, videos, and message histories—intact. This applies to cloud email services like Gmail and Office 365, as well as storage platforms like Dropbox and Google Drive. For example, businesses are relieved from the responsibility of upgrading and maintaining their in-house servers, as cloud service providers handle those tasks. This shift is particularly beneficial for small businesses that previously couldn't afford their own infrastructure, allowing them to outsource their tech needs easily. Additionally, the cloud facilitates the ability to access shared data and applications from anywhere, simplifying international operations for businesses.
