Friend.Tech has delayed its V2 launch to May 3rd in order to integrate a feature that allows 'Key' holders to share FRIEND token airdrops.
In Brief
A new functionality has been launched by Friend.Tech that allows 'Key' holders to share their FRIEND token airdrop at the moment of claiming.

Web3 social platform Friend.Tech (FRIEND) has announced plans to implement a community-requested feature, enabling the sharing of the FRIEND token airdrop with 'Key' holders. As a result, the launch of Friend.Tech V2 has been shifted to 10:30 AM PT on May 3rd, giving the team more time to implement this change.
Originally, the platform aimed to unveil its second version on April 29th.
Along with this announcement, Friend.Tech has also created a digital version of its V2 launch week poster, which can be minted for free on the ZORA NFT marketplace. Physical versions will also be available in major cities, such as New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Miami.
Last week, as part of the preparation for V2's rollout, the Friend.Tech team shared a post on social media platform X, indicating they took a snapshot prior to distributing FRIEND tokens to the community. The exact distribution date is still under wraps, but there are hints it could coincide with the migration of users' point balances to the on-chain system.

Friend.Tech Update Will Introduce Money Club Feature and Decentralized Exchange
Created by the anonymous Web3 innovators Shrimp and Racer, Friend.Tech sparked significant excitement in the community last year. The platform seamlessly integrates social networking with cryptocurrency, offering a unique space for influencers on X and users to monetize their communities via social tokens on the Layer 2 network, Base.
In just weeks after its launch, the platform attracted over 100,000 users. However, it also faced a swift downturn decrease in transaction volumes, daily sign-ups, and fee revenue within a short span of less than three weeks.
The upcoming enhancement to the revitalized Friend.Tech will bring about the Money Club feature, which will allow communities to manage shared funds and create collectibles like NFTs and meme tokens. Additionally, users will gain access to a new decentralized exchange on the platform.
Moreover, the developers are working on a refined scoring system and 'custom curves.' Small updates changes will be made to the user interface, including new customizable chat options featuring polls, giveaways, and visual themes.
