Key Executives from Ava Labs, Meta, and Shopify Have Joined Immutable's Executive Roster

Immutable has bolstered its leadership team with experienced professionals from leading web2 and web3 companies as part of its expansion in the gaming arena.
The newest key appointments include Devon Ferreira stepping in as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and David Bicknell taking the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Devon Ferreira comes to Immutable from Ava Labs, where he was also the CMO. He has held significant marketing roles at Disney and Oakley, overseeing digital commerce and marketing innovation on a global scale.
With over two decades of expertise as a strategist, marketer, and entrepreneur, he will lead Immutable’s branding and marketing initiatives. He also serves as an advisor for Toonstar, a web3 entertainment studio.
Robbie Ferguson, President and Co-founder of Immutable, expressed excitement over Ferreira's arrival, noting his key role in establishing Avalanche as a standout name in Web3.
This news comes after Immutable laid off Ferreira’s onboarding follows the hiring of David Bicknell as CFO last August. Bicknell was formerly the finance director at Meta, where he managed financial operations for the Facebook App. Before that, he was finance director at Twitter, focusing on product and engineering finances.
In his role as CFO at Immutable, Bicknell will handle financial planning, manage the company's budget, oversee fundraising efforts, and supervise financial governance and investment strategies.
In addition to these new appointments, Immutable has elevated Jason Suen from Senior Vice President to Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In his enhanced role, Suen will steer the company's efforts to augment adoption and develop web3 gaming experiences.
Before joining Immutable, Jason held senior roles at Shopify and amassed notable SaaS expertise through experiences with startups and scaling companies.
Over the past year, Immutable has intensified its focus on web3 gaming. By the third quarter of 2022, the company onboarded an impressive array of over 100 games, a sharp rise from just five at the beginning of that year. Recently, it was announced that release Immutable is launching the Immutable Passport, a comprehensive solution aimed at helping gaming studios integrate players into the web3 ecosystem.
