Meta has rolled out support for Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow NFTs, making them accessible to users across the U.S.

Meta has officially introduced NFT functionality for all users of Facebook and Instagram based in the United States.
The integration of NFT support began on Instagram back in May, while Facebook incorporated digital collectibles into its platform in June.

Meta has announced that millions of users on Instagram and Facebook in the United States can now easily share digital collectibles. Furthermore, those in over 100 countries—including areas across the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East—can participate in this feature, showcasing their NFTs on Instagram.
According to Meta, users can sync digital wallets from various providers like Dapper Labs, MetaMask, Rainbow, Trust, and Coinbase, enabling the sharing of NFTs across both social platforms. These platforms support NFTs that are minted on blockchains like Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow, with plans to include Solana in the near future. Instagram users also have the capability to cross-post display their digital collectibles directly on their Facebook profiles.
The tech giant began pilot testing NFTs in May and is progressively broadening this feature to accommodate more users. As of September 29, all Instagram users in the U.S. can access the NFT functionalities. In August, the support for NFTs became available in 100 countries for selected users only. The first-ever NFT was posted on Instagram on May 11.
To upload NFTs on Instagram or Facebook, users are required to update their social media apps to the latest versions. Following that, they need to install their preferred digital wallet on their devices, log into the app, and link the wallet within the 'digital collectibles' section. After receiving a prompt on their screens, users should enter their wallet password to confirm the connection.
Once either app is linked to the digital wallet, users can visually browse and share their NFTs within their feeds.
NFTs displayed on Instagram or Facebook will feature a unique shimmer effect to help them stand out from standard posts. It's worth mentioning that Meta does not charge any fees for posting digital collectibles.
