Now, when a player acquires something, they truly possess it and are free to use it as they wish. Moreover, any data players create on the blockchain becomes their property, allowing them to monetize it directly instead of having a third-party profit from it.

When discussing community, Web3 provides a deeper connection as players genuinely see themselves as part of this ecosystem. A remarkable innovation we introduced is the on-chain player profile or player ID, which enhances the player's digital identity.

Traditional user acquisition has skyrocketed in expense, so we showcase ways to achieve lower costs, improved retention, and increased average revenue per daily active user (ARPDAU). Moreover, a significant issue in Web2 is the exorbitant cost of user acquisition driven by numerous intermediaries. Developers can incentivize gamers directly, resulting in considerably reduced costs per install (CPI).

Play-to-earn represents merely one segment of gaming and still has potential for further innovation and improvement. However, we shouldn't overlook the appeal of collections. Players have a penchant for accumulating items they are passionate about, and Web3 facilitates true ownership and appreciation of such collections.

User-generated content (UGC) also serves as a prominent motivator. Allowing players to contribute creative content and engage with beloved intellectual properties can significantly enrich the gaming experience. Games that harness UGC will likely emerge as a central trend, empowering players to design and sell in-game assets, consequently opening new revenue streams for both players and developers.

From a player engagement perspective, AI can facilitate easier content creation. Not everyone possesses design skills, yet many individuals have remarkable concepts. AI can transform these concepts into digital assets via text-based creation tools, thus simplifying the path for players wishing to contribute to the game’s content.

In addition to AI, what other blockchain and cryptocurrency trends could shape the future of Web3 gaming?

The principal trend revolves around enhancing user-friendliness. The recent bear market underscored the importance of commercial adoption, as projects without it often struggle to survive. In gaming, success largely hinges on user numbers, particularly for mobile games, which dominate the landscape.

To foster adoption, accessibility and user-friendliness in Web3 gaming are essential. This necessitates the embrace of free-to-play paradigms, an emphasis on mobile gaming, and the creation of frictionless player experiences. Ensuring commercial viability is critical to the success of Web3 gaming.

Do you anticipate any legal challenges facing Web3 gaming, or is it largely free from regulatory issues?

I suspect certain areas, particularly play-to-earn elements, may come under regulatory scrutiny due to their inherent pay-to-play characteristics. Nevertheless, numerous facets of Web3 gaming, such as the exchange of digital assets, mirror existing markets like social casino gaming - which already adhere to regulatory standards.
