Edward Snowden, an American turned Russian citizen, is preparing to auction an NFT aimed at charity. This endeavor is in collaboration with political activist Daniel Ellsberg. The NFT, titled \"Wouldn’t You Go to Prison to Help End This War?\", serves as a homage to Ellsberg’s impactful activism. In 1971, he unveiled the Pentagon Papers, which detailed America’s involvement in Indochina from World War II up until May 1968.
This exclusive one-of-a-kind token, created on the Ethereum blockchain, will be auctioned off during a live-streamed interactive event called PleasrHouse scheduled for January 12 at 3 PM ET. PleasrDAO, the collective behind this cutting-edge web3 auction platform, will host the event.
All proceeds from the auction will contribute to Edward Snowden’s organization, the Freedom of the Press Foundation, as well as Ellsberg’s initiatives. Initiative for Peace and Democracy .
