A groundbreaking Metaverse strategy has been launched in Dubai, promising to enhance the national economy by $4 billion.

Dubai's newly introduced Metaverse strategy is aimed at spurring a $4 billion boost to the local economy over the course of five years, which includes plans to multiply the number of companies in the blockchain and Metaverse sectors and create an additional 40,000 jobs in virtual space.
According to Sheikh Hamdan, Dubai's Crown Prince, the emirate is already home to more than 1,000 companies engaged in Web3 technology, contributing a substantial $500 million to the economy of the UAE. The goal is to position Dubai as the leading city in the region and among the top ten globally in advanced Metaverse economies.
This strategic plan is built on five foundational pillars: promoting innovation and economic benefits from the Metaverse; nurturing talent through educational opportunities; creating Metaverse applications for Dubai’s governmental needs; advocating for secure platforms globally; and enhancing infrastructure alongside regulatory developments.
In conjunction with the Dubai Metaverse Strategy, the Museum of the Future is set to be the venue for the Dubai Metaverse Assembly scheduled for September 2022.
“This assembly serves as a global stage for innovators who are shaping the future of the Metaverse. Attendees will witness cutting-edge technology firsthand.
