At the same time, this non-profit R&D organization has introduced the ICP Asia Alliance to boost the Internet Computer's blockchain adoption.
According to the DFINITY Foundation, the ICP Asia Alliance seeks to bring together a diverse range of stakeholders, including governmental bodies, investors, tech innovators, universities, developers, and community participants.
Highlighting Asia's pivotal role as a hotspot for web3 and blockchain venture, the organization noted the surge of web3 companies establishing a foothold in key financial hubs like Hong Kong and Singapore.
Consequently, the $20 million fund from the ICP Asia Alliance is poised to assist Asian developers in creating Web3 infrastructures leveraging the Internet Computer blockchain.
Dominic Williams, the Founder and Chief Scientist of the DFINITY Foundation, commented, \"Asia has emerged as a crucial area for the Internet Computer and the broader web3 space. Since the start of the year, ICP has established multiple ICP.Hubs across Asia, including locations in Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Indonesia, and Singapore, each designed to boost awareness and adoption through education, strategic alliances, and project acceleration.
The DFINITY Foundation indicated that these ICP.Hubs will collaborate closely with members of the Alliance to foster the creation of ICP solutions in vital regions. Furthermore, the Foundation is working on forming strategic partnerships throughout Asia with the intent to include these new allies in the Alliance shortly.
