This collection presents an array of 20,000 original artworks, with every DeGod NFT featuring four distinct pieces of generative art. The Season III tokens are characterized by straightforward rendering, innovative traits, refined lifework, a shadowy color palette, and minimalist shading. The creators emphasized that they explored numerous iterations to ensure they delivered the best DeGods on the planet.
Initially, the creators chose to 'downgrade' the designs. They simplified the artworks by reducing the color palette from twelve to six shades. By halving the colors, they aimed to enhance readability and, in their view, create a more engaging experience for viewers. Most artworks also had their shadows and highlights significantly toned down.
The company stated, 'Compared to the overwhelming flood of images filling your feed, Season III DeGods are easier on the visual senses. This means your brain can process them quicker and thus increases the likelihood of engaging with your profile.' This explanation accompanied their rationale for the color reduction.
In addition, the forthcoming Phase III will also introduce Female DeGods. Each trait has been aligned with the female base, giving holders the ability to transition from male to female versions. While some traits remain consistent, others have been slightly revised. The rollout of this feature faced delays due to community feedback that prompted a reevaluation of the project.
Moreover, during Season III, the DeGods founders eliminated traits that the community found undesirable.
Overall, the community's response to the launch has been mostly positive, with many holders actively opting to degrade their DeGod NFTs by design. The release has positively influenced market dynamics, with trading volumes climbing by 20% within the past day to reach 1,612 ETH. Currently, the floor price for DeGods sits at 6.968 ETH (roughly $12,780 at the time of writing), marking a 4% increase compared to the last 24 hours.
