The Metaverse platform Decentraland has revealed plans for the upcoming Metaverse Pride festival, created in partnership with Polygonal Mind and Vegas City.
Metaverse Pride Scheduled for June 27 to 29, 2023, the event in Decentraland is poised to honor diversity and inclusivity through engaging virtual activities, live entertainment, prizes, and informative content aimed at the LGBTQIA+ community. Attendees can immerse themselves in an enhanced celebration that pushes against stereotypes and uplifts LGBTQIA+ rights. There will be opportunities for participants to join in panel discussions and workshops focused on mental health issues.
Attendees will have the chance to design their very own avatars and outfits, diving deep into the festivities. They can express their creativity by entering a contest for wearable designs and producing custom virtual outfits.
"Leading this year's Metaverse Pride is a privilege. By involving our community extensively in organizing this event, we hope to nurture a feeling of collective ownership and solidarity within our virtual environment,\" commented Lara Dias, the Partnerships Manager and Metaverse Pride Coordinator at the Decentraland Foundation.
Anyone looking to participate in the Metaverse Pride 2023 festivities will need to register an account on the Decentraland platform. This account allows them to create unique avatars and join the biggest virtual celebration of Pride Month.
