On May 20, Decentral Games put forth a grant application that was ultimately approved with a resounding 59% majority just six days later.
The proposal read The proposal outlines a strategy to allocate $1 million in MANA to incentivize rewards for the ICE-USDC liquidity pool on QuickSwap. MANA rewards are set to be distributed over three months for those staking in the USDC-ICE LP to bootstrap the pool. This temporary support is essential as new sit-and-go tournaments are being developed, set to launch in July, to drive engagement.
The funding will be provided in the native utility token $MANA, which is expected to enhance the $USDC – $ICE liquidity pool ahead of tournament launches and serve as rewards for participants in the Quickswap staking pool.

ICE Poker has rapidly gained popularity within Decentraland, accounting for a staggering 60% of all in-world traffic, despite launching only in autumn 2021. According to the proposal, the game boasts over 8,000 daily users frequenting 12 venues across more than 100 parcels of land. Furthermore, Decentral Games offers a variety of events beyond poker, including live music, artist showcases, and NFT release parties.
