Virtual world Decentraland announces Decentraland's Metaverse Art Week 2022, playing out from August 24 to 28, will be under the captivating theme 'The World is Made of Code.'
This year's theme draws inspiration from renowned art exhibitions like the Venice Biennale and Miami Art Basel, with a focus on technology, virtual realms, and the Metaverse. Artists will reconsider immersive experiences while pushing creative limits.
Moreover, this expansive user-owned virtual universe is on a quest to delve into how the human psyche instinctively reacts to art influenced by natural mathematical patterns.
Naturally, with Decentraland as the host, Metaverse Art Week will dive into the heart of the Metaverse. Their outdoor 3D Sculpture Garden, named 'Art Plaza,' will transform into a dynamic open-air gallery for five days, showcasing performance art, conceptual pieces, immersive installations, and a variety of NFT exhibitions. In addition, Decentraland it will provide areas designated for engaging discussions and panel sessions.
The roster for 2022 features prominent names such as Artnet, the leading online art platform; Sotheby’s will unveil its first Metaverse jewelry sculpture; Estée Lauder, known for creating digital beauty specifically for Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week; and many others.

Recently, it joined forces with Netflix to develop The Gray Man experience experiences within this virtual landscape. Earlier this month, Decentraland also introduced the first ATM in the virtual world new features in collaboration with Transak payment gateway and Metaverse Architects studio.
