D3 Teams Up with Magic Eden to Pursue the .magic Top-Level Domain
In Brief
In a fresh collaboration, D3 has joined forces with Magic Eden to obtain the coveted .magic Top-Level Domain, paving the way for Magic Eden to connect seamlessly with key elements of Internet infrastructure.

Domain name company D3 Global announced a collaboration with a platform specializing in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) Magic Eden to apply for and secure the .magic Top-Level Domain (TLD). This partnership will empower Magic Eden to merge with vital Internet infrastructure, simplifying the onboarding journey for everyday internet users, developers, and the Web3 community.
“Although various communities have tried to create their own identifiers for Web3, these attempts often fail to truly link with the broader internet,” remarked Fred Hsu, CEO and co-founder of D3, in a statement. “Our alliance with Magic Eden aims to blend the advantages of its Web3 ecosystem with essential links to traditional internet users. We firmly believe that pivotal growth in the Web3 domain comes from integrating billions of online users and approaching them on their terms,” he elaborated.
Once ICANN, the organization responsible for managing the core framework of the Internet, gives the green light for the .magic TLD, the D3 network will facilitate the usage of .magic domains across both conventional and Web3 environments. This means users will enjoy the versatility of a single .magic domain for multiple functions, including a website, email correspondence, and utilizing it for Web3 applications like digital wallets and verified IDs.
D3 and Magic Eden: A Unique Opportunity for Web3 Communities
D3 Global is a company focusing on digital identity, aiming to bridge traditional internet systems with Web3. It collaborates with various Web3 ecosystems to secure specialized TLDs and is working on a digital identity solution that promotes interoperability.
Thanks to D3’s blockchain network, developers and cryptocurrency initiatives will have the means to construct interoperable decentralized applications (dApps), platforms, and services. This strategy is designed to augment the functionality of Web3 while simultaneously making use of the established internet infrastructure that serves more than five billion users globally.
D3 and Magic Eden will file their application for the .magic TLD in the upcoming ICANN application window. This marks the first significant new generic TLD application opportunity since 2012, and only the second in ICANN’s entire history, creating a unique chance for Web3 communities to create a domain presence. D3 Global, which backs major players in the Web3 and blockchain sector, intends to announce further collaborations shortly.
