Blockchain ecosystem Cronos announced its collaboration with a leading global neobank Revolut to provide cryptocurrency education for users across both platforms through the newly launched Cronos Learn program, now live in the Revolut app. This effort aims to broaden access to cryptocurrency knowledge for a diverse audience.
Revolut is among the largest fintech firms in Europe, catering to over 35 million retail users across more than 50 nations.
This latest initiative seeks to simplify and secure the management of users' cryptocurrency assets, offering a dynamic way to delve into Cronos, various digital currencies, and Web3 advancements.
The course equips participants with a richer understanding of Cronos, featuring quizzes to assess and solidify their knowledge. It comprises three chapters that introduce the fundamentals of Cronos, its underlying technology, ecosystem, and origins. Furthermore, the program explores decentralized finance (DeFi), its significance, and includes an introduction to Web3 Gaming, offering insights into non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and the distinctive elements of blockchain gaming.
To start the course, users are encouraged to download or update the Revolut app to the latest version. After that, they can navigate to the 'Crypto' section, select 'Discover,' and scroll down to find the 'Learn' area. There, participants can opt for the Cronos course and take a quiz to deepen or evaluate their understanding.
Cronos: What Is It?
This blockchain ecosystem has established partnerships with Crypto.com and over 500 developers and contributors, reaching a worldwide community of over 100 million users. Its mission is to promote the uptake of self-custody in the Web3 space, particularly focusing on DeFi and gaming.
The Cronos the ecosystem consists of three distinct blockchains, namely Cronos EVM, which is an Ethereum-compatible blockchain built on the Cosmos SDK, Cronos POS—an influential Cosmos chain engineered for payments and NFTs—and Cronos IBC, which enhances interoperability across various blockchain networks.
Recently, Cronos unveiled a new Layer 2 network, Cronos zkEVM in partnership with Matter Labs. Currently in the testnet phase, this network is created using Matter Labs' development tools and aims to facilitate the creation of new Layer 2 and Layer 3 hyperchains on the Ethereum blockchain.
