VR training company Gemba has  Gemba attracted $18 million through a Series A funding round. Some of the major corporations using Gemba’s services include Coca-Cola Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Caterpillar, Amazon, and others. Nike .

Based in the UK, the company intends to allocate the newly acquired funds for further expansion into Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America. After this funding round led by Parkway Venture Capital, Gemba stands with a valuation of $60 million.

Gemba  offers Additionally, Gemba will host live virtual masterclasses covering topics like supply chain management and lean manufacturing in collaboration with industry veterans. These classes are designed for real-time participation, ensuring a rich and engaging learning experience.

Founded in 2010 as 'The Leadership Network,' originally geared toward executive training, Gemba was rebranded in April 2020 to reflect its pivot towards virtual reality training offerings. Although the pandemic rushed this transformation, Gemba had started its exploration into VR training a few years prior, ultimately launching its first VR enterprise training in 2019 and following up with masterclasses in 2020.

What began as a hands-on training platform at large corporate facilities has now shifted entirely to focus on immersive skill acquisition through VR, which includes real-world skill training using VR technology, simulated factory tours, and live training sessions conducted in virtual environments.

Participants can create their own avatars and attend classes regardless of their physical location. Currently, Gemba’s software is optimized solely for specific VR headsets provided by the company, but plans are underway to broaden support to a variety of popular VR and AR devices in 2023.
