CoinShares Launches Hedge Fund Division, Aims for U.S. Expansion
In Brief

CoinShares CoinShares, a well-known player in the digital asset field, is excited to announce the initiation of its new U.S. division. CoinShares Hedge Fund Solutions This strategic move is designed to broaden its footprint beyond Europe, granting qualified U.S. investors the opportunity to engage with its various private investment offerings.
The U.S. hedge fund division has rolled out two Integrated Strategies funds that focus on Bitcoin and Ethereum. The Bitcoin Integrated Strategies (BIS) fund employs multiple tactics, including call overwriting, quantitative analysis, and arbitrage, with the aim of exceeding Bitcoin’s own returns.
The use of these strategies is not static; they adjust in real-time based on methodical assessments of existing market situations. According to the hedge fund, this adaptable methodology leads to a diverse spectrum of returns, ranging from pure alpha generated by futures arbitrage to advanced momentum models that capture shifting trends in the marketplace.
"In an evolving macroeconomic landscape characterized by fluctuating interest rates and inflation, there’s a growing desire for active management of exposure to digital assets,\" stated CoinShares' CEO, Jean-Marie Mognetti. \"With a ten-year history in the digital asset realm and a team with more than 20 years of hedge fund expertise, the establishment of this new division represents a pivotal development in CoinShares’ journey.\"
On the other hand, the Ethereum Integrated Strategies (EIS) fund employs a similar strategic framework as the BIS fund but is tailored specifically for Ethereum.
Fund strategy allocations within the EIS are likewise dynamic, following a systematic approach to enhance overall fund performance.
Additionally, the EIS has integrated a Staking strategy, which acts as a responsive mechanism to allocate funds towards Ethereum staking during periods of market inertia, low volatility, or bearish tendencies.
The hedge fund suggests that such strategies aim to deliver solid returns even amid tough market climates.
