Blizzard Entertainment's latest game, Diablo Immortal, which was first announced in 2018, has been launched on June 2 of this year, and for players willing to fully enhance their character, the costs could escalate to a shocking $110,000, surprising many who expected a more budget-friendly gaming experience.

Diablo Immortal marks Blizzard's entry into mobile gaming, being compatible with devices like iPhone, iPad, and Android, and while the game itself is available for free, it presents a challenging landscape dominated by pay-to-win microtransactions, which may become the most ambitious project in the Diablo franchise yet.

As highlighted by a Bellular News video, fully realizing the potential of a character in Diablo Immortal—complete with all available gems and items—could demand an investment as high as $110,000.

There's considerable discontent within the gaming community, as players feel misled by the game's free-to-play label, which fails to reflect its heavy monetization tactics. This approach marks the first time in Blizzard's history that gamers face substantial costs to unlock every upgrade available.

In Diablo Immortal, players will encounter three tiers of progress: experience points (XP), team levels, and legendary gems. While the first two levels are familiar from the Diablo series, acquiring legendary gems poses a unique challenge, as they are scarce and often require purchase to obtain.

The game also incorporates a loot box system, which rewards players with coins that can enhance gems by up to ten points for each character. Due to gambling regulations, countries like Belgium and the Netherlands have banned Diablo Immortal, as its loot boxes conflict with their legal frameworks regarding gambling and loot box usage.
