Chainlink has officially rolled out its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol on the Hedera Mainnet.
In Brief
Chainlink's CCIP has officially been launched on Hedera's mainnet, granting developers the capability to design cross-chain applications that can securely transmit tokens, communicate across chains, and perform actions in a diverse multi-chain ecosystem.

Decentralized computing platform Chainlink Chainlink has successfully implemented its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol on Hedera's mainnet. Hedera This advancement empowers developers within the Hedera ecosystem to create applications that can securely move tokens, handle message exchanges, and engage in actions across a broad multi-chain landscape.
This integration signifies a pivotal advancement in blockchain interoperability, linking Hedera with more than 46 other blockchain platforms currently integrated with CCIP, with the promise of additional networks to come in the future.
For developers engaged with Hedera, this integration provides enhanced adaptability and longevity for their projects. Thanks to CCIP, the Hedera network can now interact with 41 or more blockchain networks, all designed with future upgrades in mind. These include the ability to onboard additional networks, tools for developers to manage their token contracts independently, and enhancements to security protocols.
Moreover, CCIP leverages the same robust infrastructure that many DeFi applications trust, ensuring consistent performance and reliability. The protocol also features the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard, which allows developers to generate or transfer tokens through a self-service model utilizing tools like Token Manager. These CCTs are inherently part of CCIP, ensuring that developers maintain full control while adhering to Chainlink’s rigorous security standards.
Hedera stands out for its public distributed ledger, built on a hashgraph consensus model, offering a swift and energy-efficient platform for decentralized applications. By empowering developers to utilize such technologies, the network unlocks new avenues for growth, especially in areas such as decentralized finance (DeFi) and the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA).
The HBAR Foundation has joined the Chainlink SCALE program to enhance its offering of oracle services and the SmartData Suite on the Hedera network. CCIP Recognized for its contributions to on-chain finance, secure data verification, and cross-network blockchain interoperability, Chainlink has played a significant role in processing over $20 trillion in transaction volume within the blockchain ecosystem, linking various decentralized applications with traditional financial frameworks. This network serves as a crucial bridge for liquidity across global marketplaces.
In 2023, the HBAR Foundation, a non-profit entity focused on promoting the development and wider adoption of Hedera, became part of the Chainlink SCALE initiative, which aims to improve developer access to Chainlink’s wide array of oracle services. This collaboration made key functionalities like Chainlink’s Data Feeds and Proof of Reserve technologies available on the Hedera network.
