Central Saint Martins Joins Forces With Myami for Exciting Digital Fashion Projects
In Brief
Central Saint Martins collaborates with the digital fashion brand Myami to help fashion students learn about the advantages of digital fashion and how it can interconnect with traditional formats.
Students are invited to leverage Myami's advanced pixel fabric technology and innovation roadmap to enhance their academic projects.

Central Saint Martins has partnered with Myami, a digital fashion brand, to embark on exciting projects in the digital fashion landscape. Established in 1989, this public art school is a key component of the University of the Arts London and is regarded as one of the leading institutions offering fashion education globally.
Myami, a brand based in Sydney, has previously created innovative products like stingray water puffers and the Ice Runner trainers. This collaboration opens the door for fashion students at Central Saint Martins to delve into the advantages of digital fashion, while also connecting it to tangible apparel. More than forty students will gain access to the technological advancements from Myami as part of this partnership. They will work with pixel fabrics and utilize the technology roadmap, which can aid them in completing their university projects aligned with their various disciplines. The selected participants come with diverse backgrounds in strategy, branding, imagery, editorial, and content creation.
We aspire to empower the next wave of remarkable talents in fashion, encouraging them to shape a future where the transformative essence of fashion can be experienced in both its digital and physical forms, no matter where they choose to manifest. said the founder of Myami, Brad Morris.
It’s worth noting that Central Saint Martins isn't the first traditional art institution to impart knowledge on digital fashion and augmented reality. Earlier this year, Istituto Marangoni introduced new courses focusing on the metaverse, AR, and 3D design. These 'digital technology and innovation' programs are crafted to encourage students to explore the incredible creative possibilities that immersive technologies offer.
One of the university's unique programs, 'Digital Design for Immersive Experiences,' will guide students on how to seamlessly merge the physical and digital realms while harnessing the potential of immersive setups. Learners will discover how to create environments that can easily transform into engaging scenarios suitable for social media and identify the optimal methods of interaction.
