Binance’s educational platform, Binance Academy has announced an innovative online course entitled 'Blockchain for Business Sustainability,' created in collaboration with Finland’s University of Oulu . The course is structured to help students grasp how blockchain technology can aid in adopting sustainable business methodologies and contribute to eco-friendly initiatives.
The course is a collaborative effort with Professor Dr. Teck Ming (Terence) Tan from Oulu Business School, who is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Helsinki. It rides the wave of growing sustainability interest by highlighting how blockchain can help organizations and individuals implement environmentally responsible practices.
Professor Dr. Teck Ming Tan shared his excitement about this collaboration, stating, “Working with Binance Academy on the ‘Blockchain for Business Sustainability’ course is an incredible opportunity. Our partnership has focused on five crucial areas: supply chain management, circular economy, renewable energy, ESG reporting, and incentivization. ‘Blockchain for Business Sustainability’ Course Will Explore Supply Chain Dynamics, Renewable Energy Solutions, ESG Reports, and More
Binance Academy has taken the lead in crafting this course, offering the educational platform and collaborating on content development while also designing robust learning materials. Key topics included in the curriculum are the transparency and traceability of supply chains, carbon trading and renewable energy, encouragement of sustainable practices, sustainability reporting, carbon credits, stakeholder capitalism, and ethical marketing within blockchain-based sharing economies.
This course, available in English and free of charge, features a self-paced structure over three weeks and consists of 12 engaging modules, summing up to approximately three and a half hours of study. Participants will encounter quizzes at the conclusion of each week to gauge their knowledge, and those who complete the course will receive a co-branded certificate from both Binance Academy and the University of Oulu.
This collaboration aligns with Binance Academy’s ongoing mission to make education blockchain education accessible and practical for learners globally. It builds on their previously accredited Web3 courses rolled out last year with top-tier institutions in Europe, including the Prague University of Economics and Business, the European Business University of Luxembourg, and the European School of Management (ESCP).
