Lately, rumors have been circulating on crypto Twitter that Bored & Hungry, the restaurant backed by NFTs, plans to discontinue accepting crypto payments. The owner, Andy Nguyen, firmly declared this to be complete 'fake news.'
Since opening its doors in April 2022, Bored & Hungry has made waves in the culinary scene. Bored Ape Yacht Club -themed 1,700-square-foot restaurant Located in Long Beach, California, the restaurant's owner, Nguyen, holds a Bored Ape #6184 along with two Mutant Apes, leveraging them for branding and marketing strategies.
Media outlets reported last week that Bored & Hungry might stop crypto payments due to the current bear market. Nguyen directly refuted these claims, tweeting multiple times. Instagram stories .
'Why would we refuse to accept crypto during a bear market? We can simply adjust our crypto pricing accordingly and hold onto the currency until the market improves,' Nguyen stated emphatically.
He also mentioned that at the time the stories broke, his entire team was busy working on NFT.NYC, leaving no one available at the Long Beach location to clarify the situation for reporters.
Bored & Hungry currently accepts Ethereum and ApeCoin .
