Animoca Brands has collaborated with ALTAVA to secure licensing rights for its Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs.

ALTAVA has revealed its new licensing agreement with the entertainment giant Animoca Brands.
The prominent entertainment company has granted ALTAVA the rights to utilize the intellectual property of the Bored Ape Yacht Club for its Bored Ape Golf Club project, which takes a golf-centric approach.

Singapore's ALTAVA, a luxury fashion group known for crafting fashion-centric metaverses, has announced its partnership with Animoca Brands for licensing.
This agreement allows ALTAVA to leverage the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, which is part of the broader portfolio owned by Animoca Brands.
A press release shared with Metaverse Post indicates that this blockchain-focused entertainment leader has provided licensing for the Bored Ape Yacht Club's intellectual property to the Bored Ape Golf Club by ALTAVA, which is a golfing offshoot. It's important to note that this venture doesn't have any official ties to the original BAYC collection, nor does it involve a partnership with Yuga Labs, Inc. Nonetheless, considering the widespread appeal of Bored Ape Yacht Club visuals, the community-driven initiative is thriving.
In December 2022, Animoca Brands' subsidiary, The Sandbox, played a significant role in bringing the Bored Ape Golf Club into the metaverse. This digital experience, which merges football and golf themes, was developed in collaboration with ALTAVA and OneFootball. Additionally, ALTAVA and The Sandbox are working on constructing the ALTAVA Club House within the metaverse, mirroring a pop-up store located in Seoul that showcases the Bored Ape Golf Club collection. Beyond these partnerships, Animoca Brands has invested in ALTAVA as well. introduced Thus, the exclusive Bored Ape Golf Club NFTs will also feature designs affiliated with Animoca Brands and The Sandbox.



Owning these golf-themed NFTs will grant holders entry to some of the most prestigious golfing country clubs situated in Turkey, Korea, and Vietnam. Furthermore, NFT owners will be given exclusive physical merchandise branded with BAGC and voxel versions of their Bored Ape Golf Club tokens, which can be used within The Sandbox. Additionally, owners will enjoy rights to the intellectual property, along with licensing and management services, allowing them to spearhead new derivative projects and monetize their own IP.
Currently, the starting price for the BAGC collection is set at 0.1 ETH, roughly equivalent to $184 at the time this was written. Since the launch of the collection in February, it has garnered a trading volume of 146 ETH.
The PGA Tour, alongside Tom Brady’s Autograph platform, is set to roll out golf-themed NFTs.
