As part of its Celo engagement, Animoca Brands will collaborate with industry heavyweights like Deutsche Telekom, Coinbase Ventures, and a16z, contributing to the performance and security of the network through validator operations.

Animoca Brands has made its strategic move into the Celo ecosystem to boost Web3 gaming within a mobile-centric infrastructure.

Celo operates as a carbon-negative blockchain that encompasses over 1,000 diverse projects spread across 150+ nations, promoting social responsibility and environmental initiatives. Since its inception on Earth Day 2020, it has processed more than 240 million transactions and reached a market cap of $350 million, effectively offsetting 4,104 tons of CO2 equivalents at the protocol level.

The Celo platform emphasizes mobile usability, featuring intuitive native wallets and decentralized applications (dApps) that facilitate smooth mobile transactions. Users can efficiently synchronize with the peer-to-peer network and utilize stable local currencies to cover transaction costs.

By aligning with the Celo ecosystem, Animoca Brands is set to become the pioneer in entertainment and gaming among Celo’s extensive network of over 100 entities dedicated to the widespread acceptance of blockchain technology, focusing on financial inclusion, innovative project advancements, and educational initiatives centered on blockchain.

Moreover, Animoca Brands plans to join with Deutsche Telekom, Coinbase Ventures, and a16z in the operation of a validator on Celo, contributing to the network's robustness.
