Animoca Brands KK, which specializes in investments within the metaverse and NFTs, has successfully raised $45 million from leading financial giant MUFG Bank and its parent company, Animoca Brands Corporation Limited. Established in Tokyo in October 2021, the company now boasts a $500 million valuation.
The Japanese subsidiary of Animoca Brands plans to deploy this new capital to invest in popular intellectual properties, push for greater Web3 adoption, stimulate NFT developments in Japan, and enhance the value and functionality of their branded content.
Earlier this year in February, Animoca Brands KK secured a $10 million seed investment.
